3. Find a friend or a news agency or other publication that you’d like to follow.
* Click on the “Find People” tab in the upper right hand corner.
* Type in a friend’s name, Embassy, media site, or library that you would like to follow.
* Choose who you would like to follow by clicking on the “Follow” button on the top left of your screen.
* Now every tweet that this person or institution posts will appear in your timeline to view.
4. Insert the link to your Twitter account on your blog. Follow the instructions for adding a link in Blogger in Things 2 and 3. Your link should look something like this: http://www.twitter.com/kphartman. By adding the link to your blog, the administrators can see your Twitter presence, and maybe request to follow you!
5. Search Twitter for events happening in your country.
Go to http://search.twitter.com to access Twitter Search. Type in a topic with your country’s name to see the real time tweets that people are posting about this subject. An example would be, “Iran election.” After clicking on “search” you will be shown all of the real time tweets that people are posting on this topic. If there are no tweets being posted about your country, choose a neighboring country or region.
6. Report on your blog what you found.
